Best Daypacks With Hydration: Reviews
When the ambient temperature is above 70 degrees when hiking you need to stay hydrated regularly.
It’s why I started using a daypack with hydration pouches built into them as they allow for quick and frequent small intakes of liquid while on a day hike.
Right now, I want to take a look at what I think are some of the best options out there.

RUPUMPACK Insulated Hydration Backpack
One reason I really like this Rupumpack is because it holds a lot of water. It’s not one of those things where you take a sip and the pack is already empty. Something that stood out is that it actually keeps my water freezing cold, which is nice because drinking warm water when you’re all sweaty isn’t appreciated.
Speaking of room, the backpack as a whole actually has quite a bit of space, more than enough for hiking essentials. I do think it’s one of the more comfortable options out there, thanks to a good amount of padding. On a side note, the whistle included is more or less useless, but that’s really not the point of this pack.
- PERFECT DAYPACK INCLUDING 2.5L BLADDER
- UNIQUE COMPARTMENT DESIGN
- HYDRATION INSULATION LAYER
- CONFORTABLE AND RELIABLE: Ventilated mesh padding
- Guidance of RUPUMPACK: If you have any quality problems within ONE YEAR, you can feedback to us at any time for after-sales service.

SHARKMOUTH Tactical MOLLE Hydration Pack
The biggest benefit I personally got from the SHARKMOUTH Tactical MOLLE Hydration Pack is that it is very lightweight and comfy. It’s not one of those backpacks where you have to carry extra weight from the backpack structure itself, which really sucks when hiking. I think that the straps and padding are very well designed, more than good enough to keep your back from hurting.
When it comes to holding water, this hydration pack isn’t too bad either. It can hold 2 liters, which is not as much as other options, but then again, I’m not looking to hike for a whole day anyway.
It’s definitely enough to wet the whistle every now and then. All of that said, the backpack as a whole really doesn’t have too much storage for other things, but you can still fit some snacks and other small essentials in it, so it’s ok.

MARCHWAY Tactical Molle Hydration Pack
I thought that this thing was a bit heavy to wear, to be quite honest, heavier than most others, but there is a bit of a tradeoff to keep in mind.
I like how the MARCHWAY Tactical Molle Hydration Pack can hold 3 liters of water, which is great, because I do sweat a lot and get very thirsty while hiking, especially during the summer. I also thought that it is a convenient option because it’s one of the easier models to refill, so it can save you just a bit of time.
Now, besides the water bladder, this pack doesn’t have all that much storage space, but enough to fit some keys, a wallet, and maybe even a celebration beer or two. A downside is that the mouthpiece quickly wears out, and I had to replace it after only a few uses.

Diaz Sport Tactical Molle Hydration Pack
This is a tactical hydration daypack more suited to hiking but of course you could use it for mountain biking too. It’s not the lightest daypack here but this is offset by the fact it has a lot of storage space.
The pack comes with a large main compartment, plus a front zip pouch. The bladder is stored at the rear of the pack inside a purpose designed compartment.
Inside the main compartment are mesh pockets to organize all your every day carry items such as smartphone, flashlight, wallet and so on. The material is 600 D water resistant polyester so it’s certainly durable enough for day hikes.
A really nice feature is the fact this daypack has a Molle strap system on the front of the pack so you can attach extra mMolle pouches if you wish.
This pack is great for anyone who is looking for a daypack to take to work and to use at the weekend for day hikes and on mountain bike trails

Unigear Hydration Pack Backpack
This slimline lightweight pack from Unigear is ideal for both running and mountain biking. The 2 litre water capacity is ideal for long distance running such as marathons and distances over 10 km.
The bladder is well made and includes a baffle to help reduce liquid from “sloshing” about while running or biking. The drinking tube is also easy to attach and detach.
Overall, this daypack is ideal for short trips as there is just enough room to carry essentials for up to 8 hours, along with the ultra lightweight design, comfortable straps and easy cleaning and maintenance of the bladder.
At the price point the Unigear comes in at, it’s certainly worth considering for those looking for a hydration daypack for hiking, running or mountain biking.

Final Thoughts
When all is said and done, I think the most important thing to look for in a daypack with hydration is how much water it can hold, how many extras it can carry, and how comfy it is to carry as well. Any of the above options make for good daypacks, as far as I am concerned.
