Hi, my name is Rob Johnston and I offer you a warm welcome to my website. I’m the Editor and owner of Outdoor Wilds.
I’ve worked for over 20 years as a broadcast cameraman, working for TV, government departments and many companies around the world.
I’ve always had a passion for wildlife and of course cameras. Some time ago I took up the hobby of trail cameras as it seemed to be the perfect combination of the two.
My other passions are walking in the wilds, skiing and occasionally I’ve been known to do a bit of arc welding.
I’m also into kayaking and enjoy putting my inflatable kayak in the back of my car and heading off to one of 3 local rivers near to me.
I’m from the United Kingdom originally and currently live in the South East.
My job has meant I’ve travelled far and wide, particularly in the United States. Having worked extensively in a number of States across the US.
I hope you enjoy the site and it provides you with some useful information, helping you to get that little bit extra from your trail cam.
