This is perhaps one of my favorite options for several reasons. For one, as you can see, the TNH Outdoors tent is fairly large and more than suitable for 2 people, making it great for you and your camping buddy.
What is convenient about this hiking tent is that it is lightweight and portable. It folds down into a small package, ideal for packing inside a 40 litre capacity backpack.
The tent is fairly lightweight at 1770 grams, which makes it ideal for 2 people to take with them on a multi-day hike.
This tent only has a single aluminum pole which is needed for setup, so it can be put up and taken down in a matter of minutes and can be done by a single person. It’s not the most stable tent when it gets windy because of this, but this just means that it is a fair-weather tent.
The material used in the construction is durable and environment-friendly.
With a waterproof HH rating between 3000 – 5000 mm means this tent will hold up against all but severe heavy rainfall.
If you can stretch to this tent in terms of budget then I’d suggest considering the TNH for multi-day hikes.

As you can probably tell from the name, this is a one person tent, so it’s only meant for solo use. You won’t be fitting multiple people, at least not comfortably. What I like about the ALPS Mountaineering Lynx 1-Person Tent is that it is extremely lightweight, one of the lightest tents out there, which makes life easier when it comes to long hiking trips.
At the same time, it folds down very small, so it won’t take up much space on or in your hiking pack.
Moreover, this tent has only 2 rods, which also helps make life easier, as it can be set up in about 5 minutes and it only takes a single person to do so. If you are looking for a larger hiking tent, one that can fit up to 4 people, the Weanas Professional Backpacking Tent is an excellent choice to keep in mind. It is quite large and can fit many people, but it still manages to still be very lightweight.

Stansport Scout 2 person Backpack and Camping Tent
If you need a good budget two-person tent for camping, this might just be the best option to go with. This tent is about as lightweight as humanly possible. It is also very small when folded up, no larger than a football.
Both of these features help make your life much easier when it comes to hiking and transportation. I also like how it should only take a couple of minutes to set up the Stansport Scout, as there are not too many pieces included.
The Tent does come with a two layer door. The first layer is great because it has a bug screen, but still allows for good ventilation. The outer layer is best for windy or rainy days, as it is totally waterproof. Actually, the whole tent itself is waterproof and wind resistant.
It’s not a tent for extreme weather or cold, but for the spring and autumn, it should do just fine. It’s also quite a tough and durable tent.
